Miscellaneous May

Owen rarely falls asleep in the car,

but when he does it's the minute we turn into the neighborhood

Owen's first time drinking out of a cup

So proud of himself

He's worn these pajamas so much that they got a hole in the foot

just big enough for his pinkie toe

First time in the jumper

Owen follows Ethan around the house by rolling

(and likes to steal books from his big brother)

Ethan usually just scoots away

But sometimes he's nice and shares the book with his brother

We celebrated Ethan's last day of school with a dip in the kiddie pool

Cara came over and they had tons of fun splashing around

The water was too cold for Owen, so he just sat and watched

Oh, and we ate some chocolate ice cream to celebrate too!

(as you know, we never pass up a reason to eat ice cream)

A Year in the Life of Daddy's Phone

Tim recently imported all his phone pics to our home computer.  

Here are a few of my favorites...

I confess that my sister and I often like to coordinate Ethan and Cara's outfits,
but this time we actually didn't plan it

21 Days

In the past 21 days we've...

watched our brother ride the horse at hippo therapy

walked with the parallel bars for the first time

spent A TON of time hanging out on a blanket in the front yard

learned to read 5 words (dog, cat, hat, Ethan and Owen)

went strawberry picking with cousin Allison and Oscar

ate the plant instead of the strawberries

learned from our brother how to eat the plant instead of the strawberry

went to cousin Cara's house and let her put funny monsters on our toes

let her dress us up in her roller skate outfit

(funny thing was, the kneepads barely fit over our chubby thighs)

 and snuggled with her in her bed

continued to get a cold just about every other week

(this is me sneezing)

but didn't let that get us down

(see, I'm still smiling with crusty boogers in my nose)

went to the Fort Mill Strawberry Festival

rode our VERY FIRST carnival ride

got our faces painted

rode around in our new (garage sale find) wagon

watched the Kentucky Derby in our new derby shirts

celebrated cinco de mayo by eating mardi gras beads

and ate derby pie with friends and family!

Wonder what the next 21 days will hold...
