School has started and fall is right around the corner,
so we've been taking advantage of the warm weather
and playing outside (as much as the mosquitoes will allow)
We celebrated Pop's birthday with sub sandwiches and strawberry cake.
Here's Owen helping Nana wash the lettuce for the sandwiches
Ethan's First Day of Kindergarten!
He has been doing amazing at school. Always a good report from the teachers.
They say he's very friendly and talks to the other students a lot.
He seems pretty tired every day when he gets home.

The day before school started for Ethan, I went to a consignment sale
where I found a little green bookbag for Owen.
And it's a good thing I did, since Owen wanted a bookbag just like Ethan.
After we dropped Ethan off at school, Owen and I took a trip to the library.
And found a book called, "Owen!"
On a nature "hike" around the neighborhood
with our neighbors Chloe and Bryce.
Hanging out with Hudson while Ethan was riding Sammy
Owen and Brinley taking a look at the meat at Costco
While playing at the park we met a boy who could be Owen's twin
Playing "train" with Yaya on Aunt Allie's back porch
Owen and Yaya talking to "Banna"
(this is Owen's nickname for Anna)
gotta love those toes
Aunt Jenny, Uncle Kevin and Cousin Tristan
came for a visit on their way to California.
The boys had so much fun together
and I had so much fun watching them all play together.
snack time at the pool
Owen and Tristan fencing with the forks
Why did we let them do this?
splashing in puddles after eating ice cream
Tristan is serious about his peg board game
some serious rocking
Owen petting Bonnie (the neighbor dog)
saying goodbye
Ethan "hugging" Tristan. Poor Tristan.
You can bet we'll be making a trip to California sometime soon
Owen picking his toes while enjoying the wind in his face
Yes, I took a picture of this. 'Cause I wanted to remember it, that's why.
Waiting for the bus to bring Ethan home from school
Ethan's going to be riding the bus home from school
once or twice week this year. This was his first time riding the bus.
I thought he'd enjoy it and I was right. He loved it!
Ethan, Owen and Ms. Donna waving goodbye
playing outside with Ms. Donna
Ethan is working on his balance,
sitting on a peanut while playing a game with Ms. Erin.
So, Owen finds himself a smaller peanut in the corner,
pulls it up and sits down to play too!
Ethan's school had a Boosterthon Fun Run to raise money for the school.
He did one lap in his walker and 16 in his wheelchair (he could have done more in his walker, but the more laps you do, the more money you raise, so the wheelchair was quicker).
He was smiling the whole time and really enjoyed going around and watching the kids running. And he thought it was so cool that Mommy, Daddy & Owen came to watch him.
Playing with bugs at Nana's house
Pushing Anna in the hammock
watching Owen through a hole in the leaf
