It's February Already?
It's been quite a while since I've updated the blog.
I guess life just got busy.
But not too busy to take lots of pictures!
Every year our family eats Pop Mayhugh's spaghetti
(a secret family recipe) together on New Years Day.
This was Owen's first taste of the good stuff and he ate the whole plate by himself.
We've had a few cold days, but overall it's been a mild winter so far.
So we've spent lots of time playing outside.
The combination of cooler weather and running around does this to Mr. Owen's hair.
More playing outside
Oh, and thanks for the cute sweater, Aunt Jenny!
Gotta love that double chin
We have two gumball trees in our front yard.
I hate these things. They prick your feet when going to get the mail without shoes on and they make wrestling in the front yard extremely painful.
But Owen loves them. He picks them up, carries them around...
and even uses them as a mid-morning snack
Owen's favorite playing position. I don't know how he does it.
We have spent some time inside.
Here's Owen playing in his new police car.
And Ethan playing at Nana's house
But we usually eventually make out way outside when we're there too!
Here's Owen and Yaya riding in the wheelbarrow.
Ethan and Nana pulling/pushing them around
Ethan, Nana and Yaya playing with the windchimes
Ethan has started asking to take pictures with my camera.
Here are a few of his subjects...
Owen is very independent.
He really prefers to feed himself, even if he can't get the food to his mouth.
When Allison told my parents that she was having a baby the first time, she made this little onesie that said, "I'm gettin' a little cousin." Ethan and I came to NC for a visit and she put it on him for my parents to figure it out. Here is Ethan (15 months old) in the onesie.
And here is Owen (15 months old) in the same onesie!
Allison's new little one is due July 24th!
This is a collage of Ethan in a ghanaian outfit that
Aunt Allie and Uncle Cephas brought him for his first Christmas.
And here is Owen in the same little outfit
Ethan painting Sammy with Ms. Ellen during another hippo therapy session
Ethan holding himself up on Daddy's knees
And more outside play
Ethan working on getting himself onto the slide
and Owen waiting patiently behind him
Thanks, Grandma for this cool slide & sports playset.
As you can tell, the boys really love it!
This little playschool pull toy was Tim's when he was a boy.
playing keep away from Owen
some brother lovin' in the front yard
Ethan LOVES giving Owen hugs and tickling, wrestling and chasing him.
Owen usually loves it too.
We're just working on teaching Ethan the difference between hugging and choking.
Owen running to give Ethan a hug. He really does do this.
And it's my favorite thing in the whole world.
