Spring Break Day 4 & Day 5

Day 4: We met our friends, Ellen and Hudson at Meg-Art Paint Your Own Pottery Studio

He made a green dot on the back of his plate with his nose

We went to Tenders for lunch so Ethan could get his favorite food - french fries!

Day 5: Mommy needed a little break, so Daddy came home an hour early
and took the boys to the park to play and have dinner.

Overall, I think we had a fun and exhausting week.
I really enjoyed having lots of Mommy-Ethan time
and doing a few things we don't normally do together.
So proud of this silly, sweet little boy.

 Spring Break Day 3

Day 3 of spring break we ate lunch with daddy at his office

Owen made himself at home and learned to open a door all by himself
(not too excited about that one)

he even took Ethan's walker for a spin

wearing Habitat Women Build hard hats

Ethan had PT and OT at Touchstone today,
so Owen and Mommy had a little date at Chic-fil-a

When we picked Ethan up, we surprised him with a Chic-fil-a kids meal
and went to a park for a picnic dinner and lots of play time

I helped Ethan up the stairs of this slide, then he would grab the red handles, sit himself down and push himself down the slide!  Not all playground slides are this accessible and he LOVED how much control he had!

He also loved these little spinning seats

Owen did too

Spring Break Day 1 & Day 2

Since we weren't going anywhere for spring break this year we didn't cancel any of Ethan's therapies this week.  But I still wanted him to have a "break" from our normal weekly schedule, so I've planned for us to do something fun and different each day of the break.

Day 1: Ethan & Mommy went to Discovery Place
(Thank you, Nana, for keeping Owen at home
so we could have a little time to play by ourselves!)

Ethan went to his first IMAX movie - it was about polar bears

Day 2: Ethan & Mommy went to Baxter's Bunch Playhouse
with our friends Carla & Levi and Carina & Brinley

Ethan & Levi in the "jumping tent" (this is what Ethan calls it)

We took Ethan here a year ago and had to practically push him up this wall.
This time, Ethan pulled himself up with the handles and put his feet on the blue blocks by himself.  He did need help to get up the wall, but he definitely understood how to get up there and initiated getting up by himself.

Easter

All the chocolate in the easter baskets,
and Owen is more excited about his cereal bar

My mom made this outfit for Ethan's first Easter
Ethan (12 months)

And it fit Owen on his second Easter
Owen (17 months)

We celebrated Easter and Nana's birthday at Pop & Nana's house this year.
Here are the kids having a little Easter egg hunt.

As soon as Owen would find an egg,
he'd open it and eat the contents immediately.

Some of the eggs had these little fuzzy bears & bunnies in them.
This was Owen's face after realizing the bear wasn't edible.

When we got home, we had a package from Grandma in the mailbox!
Can you tell Ethan was excited?

Owen says, "Thanks for the m&m's Grandma!"
